Home Learning
If your child is unable to attend school for a period of time but is well enough to access learning, then home learning will be provided and sent home. We will endeavour to send work that is similar or the same to what their peers are accessing in the classroom. Where appropriate, online learning will be provided for your child.
Parents and carers are asked to support their child with their home learning. All pupils, where possible:
- should be sat at a table or desk, ready for learning.
- should be supported where possible or be supervised from a distance by a parent or carer. Independence is always promoted where possible at the East SILC.
- should be in an areas of the home that minimises distractions, therefore preventing the pupil from learning.
Should any parent or carer need to make contact regarding home learning, please feel free to make contact with your child's pastoral/ class teacher in the first instance.
